Currently on the drawing board, this striking low-lying home design is reminiscent of a mountain range with the irregular peaks of its roofline set to create an intriguing silhouette against a scenic rural backdrop.
The collaborative design process is underway on this contemporary home and as the ideas are currently flowing and evolving, the final design is still under development.
The proposed floor plan features a cluster of three main pods radiating out from a central circular outdoor courtyard, with future stunning views out to Maungatautari mountain. This circular theme is carried throughout the home with the circular driveway and the circle skylight cut into the foyer’s roof.
While the separate pods provide space and privacy with the master suite, guest and children’s bedrooms all located in a distinct and separate pod, the communal areas of the home promote inclusiveness and easy interaction with a spacious open plan design, opening out to the outdoor entertaining and pool area.
The proposed mix of texturally rich exterior materials - cedar cladding, Eurostyle standing seam iron, and pre-cast concrete tilt panels - will enhance the home’s durability but also blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings.
This stunning home will be one to watch out for!
